there seems to be a weeing going on and there are a bunch of people walking in fancy clothes. Theres a man on a scooter with three kids and hes wearing a skull mask. the picture uses the natural lines of the people to guide the eye through the picture. this tells the story of all the things that are going on on this small street corner.

ReplyDeleteThis photograph shows people at a street corner. Many of the people are dressed in fancy clothes, which leads the viewer to believe that maybe they are all going to an event of some sort. The photo uses line to direct the viewer's eyes down the street.
ReplyDeleteIn this picture it looks like people are leaving from a formal event because if you notice most of them are dressed up pretty nicely and also i feel the little girl in the front of the picture is being scolded. In this picture i see simplicity and variety. These elements of arts and principles of design help tell the story of a casual day because the framing of the picture is scattered.
ReplyDeleteThere is a party going on in this neighborhood. The lines in this photo curve so that your eyes flow through the frame and go to the back of the photo. The lines create balance of people on both sides of the street and create a sense of repetition. You can see all the people walking in this neighborhood due to the leading lines and the balanced composition, it allows you to see all the commotion in the neighborhood and see that there may be an event. The photographer needed to consider the direst light from being outside and they needed to consider the movement of the people in order to get the right shutter speed to freeze the motion but let enough light in.
ReplyDeleteI think the picture is trying to tell a story about Halloween and the kids trick or treating. With the woman and child on the right, there is a good sense of rule of thirds and then the person with the mask adds more balance to the photo. Although, the photo is not completely balanced because there aren't many people on the left and only the van sets it off. But I think that actually works well because then there is more emphasis on the person with the mask. These help tell a story because your eyes are drawn to the women and the mask, wondering how and why it is the way it is. I think during the photo, the photographer had to examine the amount of shadows that might take place because of such a hard light.
ReplyDeleteWhat i think is going on in this picture is that the photographer is taking a picture of a street and it almost seems like all these people are on there way to a fancy party or wedding. One element of art i saw in this picture was lines. Lines helps create a unity or pattern. They help tell the story by adding something new to the photo. The photograph isn't plan and boring, you see something new and something creative. The photographer may need to consider even sunlight through the photograph and a fast shutter speed so that there is no motion blur.

ReplyDeleteWhat i think is going on is that a lot of people are wearing there fine clothing to go to church. The element that i see is color and space. Make be the color that it has gives it a contrast to the rest of the photo.

ReplyDeletethere's a vantage point where its taken and lines to lead you all around the picture. there is variety in the picture to make it strange and unique so it makes your eyes take in something different every time. it gives you perspective of every persons lives weirdly enough. theres natural light to help with the story of the party and what time it has ended or started.

Lines helps create a principle of design emphasizing on the people in the front. Elements of art and principles of design helps tell a story by adding more creativity to the photograph. The photographer needed to consider a fast shutter speed so that there is no motion blur while trying to capture the image.
ReplyDeleteI think it's Halloween as well, my eye starts at the little girl in the bright pink shirt and then moves back throughout the entire photo. The street and the people on the sidewalk create a line in the background of the photo.
ReplyDeleteI think that there is some sort of festival or formal event that is going on since the ladies are wearing a dress and a hat while the men are wearing suits, except for that guy with a mask. There is space and line in the photo. Having line creates movement through the photo. Both line and movement allows people to know that the people are walking down the street. The photographer has to consider the ISO since he was taking the photo outside in a sunny day.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a costume party, tfti. I see rule of thirds and lines. The person in front with the mask kind of gives the photo a balance, despite there being more people on the right. The balance and lines allow you to really see everything that is going on. The photographer probably needed to consider his shutter speed to prevent motion blur.

I also feel like its either a church gathering or a special occasion based off of how people are dressed up. The guy in the motor scooter with the children and the mask is obviously out of place but is also the focal point of the picture.
ReplyDeleteThere clearly was some sort of party happening, or its Halloween and everyone, except the skeletor grandma in the mobile chair. The artist uses line to move your eye down the sidewalk with all of the people on it.

ReplyDeleteWhat i think is going on in this picture is that the photographer is taking a picture of an event going on in this neighborhood. One element of art i saw in this picture was lines. Lines helps create a unity or pattern, they help tell the story by adding something new to the photo. The photograph isn't boring, you see something new and something creative with what the photographer is trying to say . The photographer may need to consider focusing more on the subject so not many people take away from the main focus or main subject.

ReplyDeleteI believe it is Halloween or a costume project. The photographer uses balance and leading lines to help the viewer see the story more clear. The photographer has to make sure the shutter speed is fast enough to not create motion blur.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the people in the photo are on their way to a fancy party. The Element of Art that I see is positive space, that is, the space that is taken up by objects in the photo. This Element of Art helps create the Principle of Design of movement; you can see which direction the people are moving in. The positive space helps portray that the party they are going to is going to be packed and considering how the movement is portrayed in the photo, nobody is in a rush. The photographer had to consider shutter speed and aperture because it is still a sunny day when he took the photo.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is coming home from a wedding. I see some space and lines, I also see some movement. I feel like the photographer needed to think about the hard light that was coming down. I see shadows in the picture so they probably needed to think about that.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be Halloween because everyone is dressed up and going trick or treating. The elements I see that's in the photo are color due to the bright colors that are standing out and rule of thirds if the photographer was to focus on the mother and child. With color it creates variety as it's principle of design because of the different colors of the costumes that really help it stick out. All these help tell the story because of the coloring and different colors and costumes for Halloween. The photographer would have used a bit higher shutter speed and shoot in wide aperture because it's golden hour. It as wide aperture due to the people in the background being blurry.
ReplyDeleteMaybe these people just like to dress that way. The element of art that i see is color because they are all wearing some pretty colorful clothes. This element helps create variety. These two things help create a story because they all like to wear colorful things. The light is coming from behind the camera because the shadows are helping us see that.

I think this image is local neighbors at a year round yard sale. The elements of art I see in this photo are color, texture and a little space. Color, the element of art, is shown in this picture but also connects to the principle of design Variety. Their is a variety of color in this photo shown. These help tell the story by the variety of diversity and color.
ReplyDeleteI think there's a lot going on with the picture. Showing you that you really dont know what going on with people life. Contrast,shadows and lining is definitely going on in this picture. Lining definitely helps with the story as you go down the line and see different people life.
ReplyDeleteThere's some sort of neighborhood costume party going on, and people are walking in fancy dress down the street. In the right third of the foreground, a mother talks quietly to her child. Then the leading lines guide the eye back through the picture, observing the other small groups of people, including the man in a skull mask with three children. There's an asymmetrical balance created by most people being on the right side of the photo. This asymmetry contributes to the "story" in that all the people on one side indicates how the party hasn't started yet.

This contributes the the story because it shows they are going to somewhere. The photographer considered the natural lighting and angle of the photo.

ReplyDeleteI think this picture is a photograph of a block party that people are going to or leaving from. The is negative space, leading lines, rule of thirds, and movement. Also, the photographer took this picture using hard light as the natural light.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what is going on, but it is some sort of gathering. People are dressed different than usual.Elements of art: Line, Value, Space. There is a clear line leading your eyes through the picture. The photographer took this photo later in the day as the sun was setting. He used a larger aperture so the picture was not blurry.

The picture shows the composition of balance because of the people on either side of the street. I think the time of day this picture was taken was right before sunset because you can see slight shadows from the left side of the frame.

ReplyDeleteI think there is some sort of formal event going on. It looks like a warm sunny day and the photographer uses rule of thirds. The background of the image though is kind of busy and distracting and it's not super clear what the subject is. I am guessing the photographer used a fairly high f number to get a deep depth of field and a low ISO.

The photo is very busy with many people and elements within the photo which creates a lot of movement in the photo. The lighting looks very natural due to the shadows. The photographer must have used a high shutter speed to freeze the motion of all these people.

I see a wide variety of shadows that capture my eye along with the bright shirt of the girl right in front of the photographer. The people within this photograph also form lines leading off screen.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great example of Deadpan photography reasons being that the folks dressed up nice and the man in the middle with the chrome mask really asks for the observer to use their imagination to try an explain and/or create a story of what is going on.

But the camera man doesn't seem to be focusing on the people it seems to be focusing on the man that is abducting 3 kids. everyone is dressed fancy with suites and dresses and the kidnapper is on a rascal in shorts and a t shirt. This just aint adding up.

ReplyDeleteIt seems like the picture was taken at an early time in the day of Halloween or for an event involving customs. I see the element of art of lines as the people are walking down the street which creates the principle of design of movement because the arrangement of the people determine the way that the viewer will look at the picture. The photographer had to consider the position of the shadows and of the shadows in the people's face.
ReplyDeleteI think the picture was taken on Halloween because of the guy wearing a mask and everybody's formal attire. There's the element of line in the concrete which leads your eyes through the photograph (the principle of movement).
